<description>I was always fascinated with this structure. My high school buddies thought I was more than just a little weird when I would take the back roads to Fargo just to stop and reflect on it&#039;s majesty : ) I would stop about 10-12 miles from it and ask them how far they thought it was to that tower and they would guess 1 or 2 miles. By the time we arrived, they had a new appreciation for just how tall this monster was. I remember discussing how long it would take to hit the ground if one were unfortunate enough to fall from the top. Those calculations are lost in the haze of time, but I do remember that it was a long time to be screaming! I have great pictures (somewhere?) of the tower taken right after an ice storm. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
